Since March 2000 Hurricane Films have been telling great stories - fact and fiction - for both film and television.

In early 2004 the company produced its first feature film, Under The Mud – a unique collaboration with community groups working with young people in South Liverpool. The film has enjoyed a great response from critics and audiences alike at film festivals around the world, and was described by The Guardian as “possibly the best British Film you will never see”.

The latest feature from Hurricane Films is the lyrical, visual poem, ‘Of Time and the City’, directed by one of Britain’s greatest auteurs, Terence Davies. The film was selected to play at a special ‘out of competition screening’ at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival where it received huge critical acclaim. The film has so far been invited to over 35 film festivals around the world and will receive a theatrical release in the autumn.
