"The Independent Centre for Actor Training started in 2007 in a rehearsal space in London’s West End. A group of very experienced actors and directors who were working with some of the worlds leading companies and teaching at some of Britain’s biggest drama schools, combined their talents to run weekly classes for people with passion and potential.

8 years later, we now run a two year part time professional actor training course with West End showcase, incredible industry masterclasses and short courses in two schools: ICAT London and Northwest.

ICAT Northwest is a hub of activity supplying top level teaching on a weekly basis for actors of all ages. There is a vibrant Youth Theatre, Artist Development, extraordinary masterclass opportunities and our unbeatable value two year part time professional actor training where students can hold a full time job while studying with us.

The company has been noted for its consistent delivery of first class practical training and it’s professional ethos. Our motto is ‘Train with those who do this for a living!’.

We regularly bring leading names in world theatre, television and film to our Northwest studio’s to work with our students and share their knowledge and passion for this noble craft. Graduates have gone on to gain representation from superb agents and are working in television, theatre and film."
