Mercurius was set up in early 2012 by director Jenny Eastop and actors Tom Barratt, Matthew Forsythe and Amy Hydes. They wanted to create the theatre that inspired them, from new writing to neglected classics, with a style that was intriguing, exciting and entertaining but never dull.
