Michael Rose and David Morgan have been producing shows since 1987. Since then they have produced many musicals including Jesus Christ Superstar, The Boyfriend, Oliver!, Peter Pan and The Wizard of Oz.

Pantomimes include Cinderella, Aladdin, Snow White and Beauty And The Beast. UK and European premieres include Baby which won a Manchester Evening News Award, Driving Miss Daisy nominated for Best Touring Show in the TMA Martini Rossi Awards, The European Premiere of Closer Than Ever, The Great Gatsby, The Cemetery Club, The Lion in Winter, The Surprise Party and Five Blue Haired Ladies Sitting On A Green Park Bench, Nightmare and Nightfright (new thrillers) and Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? in Houston Texas.

Transfers from London’s West End include Steel Magnolias and Olivier Award winning productions of Hot Shoe Shuffle and Tap Dogs.

West End of London includes Duke Ellington’s Sophisticated Ladies at the Gielgud, Pam Gem’s Marlene at the Lyric nominated for two Olivier Awards and Sweet Charity at the Victoria Palace, the smash hit musical Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (co-produced with Barbara Broccoli, Michael G Wilson & Fred Zollo) at the London Palladium nominated for three Olivier Awards and winner of Best Musical in the 2002 Variety Club Awards and Footloose at the Novello Theatre.

More recently Santa Claus - The Musical (co-produced with Chris Moreno) at the Mayflower Southampton, Liverpool Empire and Alexandra Theatre Birmingham and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (once again co-produced with Barbara Broccoli, Michael G Wilson & Fred Zollo) on Broadway nominated for five Tony Awards. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang finished her third year of a UK tour in 2008 (winning Best Family Show, Manchester Evening News Awards 2006). This tour’s final date saw Chitty Chitty Bang Bang making her debut at the Esplanade Theatres, Singapore. Also more recently the UK premiere of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas The Musical (co-produced with Chris Moreno) at Plymouth and Southampton in 2006, followed by performances at the Edinburgh Playhouse and Wales Millennium Centre Cardiff in 2007. A brand new production of the RSC version of The Wizard of Oz at the Mayflower Southampton which then embarked upon a tour of the USA.

July 2009 produced a new version of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, which embarked upon a more extensive tour of the British Isles until 2010. Also in 2009: A Steady Rain (co-produced with Barbara Broccoli, Michael G Wilson & Fred Zollo) starring Daniel Craig and Hugh Jackman on Broadway, Catwalk Confidential at The Arts Theatre, London, Irving Berlin’s White Christmas The Musical at Theatre Royal, Plymouth and The Lowry, Salford Quays, Santa Claus and the Return of Jack Frost at The Mayflower, Southampton.

2010 saw Irving Berlin’s White Christmas The Musical at the Sunderland Empire and Aladdin at The Mayflower, Southampton starring Paul O’Grady returning to the guise of Lily Savage as Widow Twankey.

For 2011 Michael and David were proud to produce a brand new musical version of Peter Pan premiering at the Grand Canal Theatre in Dublin in July followed by a critically acclaimed Christmas season at The Mayflower, Southampton. Irving Berlin’s White Christmas The Musical played at the Mayflower, Southampton, The Grand Canal Theatre in Dublin and the Liverpool Empire.

For 2012 the stage premiere of Chariots Of Fire and a new musical based on the Monkee’s music entitled Monkee Business.


David Morgan

David hails from Bournemouth and from the age of six to fourteen trained in Ballroom and Latin American Dance. Early training was taken at The Stage Door School of Dance and Drama in Bournemouth under the direction of Maureen Headford.
David graduated from the Bird College of Performing Arts in 1977 and has performed in many musical shows and films including MARILYN at the Adelphi Theatre, DEAR ANYONE at the Cambridge ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS and a Zucker Brothers film TOP SECRET.

As a choreographer credits include HIGH SOCIETY at West Yorkshire Playhouse, TREASURE ISLAND at Theatr Clwyd , SNAP OUT OF IT! a play on mental health, Maltby and Shire’s CLOSER THAN EVER at the Library Theatre Manchester and the first Festival of Musicals at Buxton Opera House, Duke Ellington’s SOPHISTICATED LADIES national tour and Gielgud Theatre London. National tours include DAMES AT SEA, THE WIZARD OF OZ, OH WHAT A LOVELY WAR, GODSPELL, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, THE PIED PIPER, THE ADVENTURES OF MR TOAD , THE BOYFRIEND, YOU’RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN and CORA La Grand Horizontale which opened the first New York International Theatre Festival at SUNY on Long Island.
The BAFTA AWARD WINNING , YOU’RE MOTHER WOULDN’T LIKE IT for Central TV (3 series) and THE MEDAL SONG , a promo video for Boy George. David choreographed the 2009/10 UK and Ireland touring production of CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG

Directorial credits include TOMFOOLERY, PETER PAN, twice, with Matthew Kelly and Ron Moody, BEAUTY & THE BEAST, ALADDIN and SANTA CLAUS and the Return of JACK FROST and CINDERELLA at the Mayflower in Southampton with Christopher Biggins, Matthew Kelly and Stefanie Powers. Resident Director on LA CAVA at the Victoria Palace and Piccadilly Theatres London and Production Director and Choreographer for Cruising Musicals Consortium directing and choreographing musicals and plays on both MV Oriana and Aurora cruise ships including HALF A SIXPENCE, HIGH SOCIETY, ELVIS, GREASE, RAVE ON, THE BLUES BROTHERS and RED HOT & FOSSE. David directed ME & MY GIRL at Lincoln’s Theatre Royal and the 21st Anniversary Production, SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN also at Lincoln. David is UK Production Director of Irving Berlin’s WHITE CHRISTMAS with seasons at Edinburgh Playhouse , Wales Millennium Centre Cardiff and The Lowry Salford Manchester. For 2011 The Mayflower, Southampton, Grand Canal Theatre, Dublin and The Liverpool Empire

In 2010 David directed ALADDIN at The Mayflower, Southampton starring Lily Savage (by kind permission of Paul O'Grady) in the role of Widow Twankey

David directed a brand new musical version of PETER PAN in 2011 - this had its world premiere in July at the Grand Canal Theatre, Dublin followed by a critically acclaimed Christmas season at The Mayflower, Southampton.
