Founded in 1979, Minotaur Theatre Company is run by and for students on the Drama BA(Hons) Degree Programme at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, UK. The company was set up to act as a supplement to students' degree work, giving them the freedom to experiment artistically and the opportunity to stage their own productions outside the drama course.
Based at the versatile Drama Studio, on the main UEA campus, Minotaur usually undertakes two festivals of productions per university term. Past productions have been taken to the National Student Drama Festival in Scarborough and many Minotaur members have also taken work to the Edinburgh Festival.
