Northern Film & Media is the Regional Screen Agency for the North East of England. One of nine Regional Screen Agencies across England, we exist to introduce the talent to the market and to introduce the market to the talent.
Northern Film & Media develops the moving image sector by investing in people and their ideas. Formed in October of 2002, we are passionate about the industry that we champion and drive. We work across Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, County Durham and Teesside.
We focus our energies and expertise upon engaging with and developing individuals and companies working in film, television, animation, commercials, multi-media, and innovative technologies.
Northern Film & Media offers support in a number of ways: through the direct funding of projects; through a commitment to professional and non-professional training; through arranging a wide range of schemes and services, workshops and seminars, screenings and networking events.
We promote the creative and technical talent of the people who form the moving image community of North East England, and promote the region as a world class and cost effective place to shoot both film and television.
On 14 July 2009 Northern Film & Media moved to a new location, from its offices at Central Square to pupose built offices at Hoults Yard Newcastle.
