Phil McIntyre Entertainment (PME) has been producing, promoting and representing acts since 1974.

For twenty years the company was one of the country’s leading rock’n’roll promoters, working with bands such as The Smiths, Culture Club, New Order, Tears for Fears and Metallica. PME has recently promoted the sell out arena tour of Queen and Paul Rodgers.

PME has produced two feature films; Guest House Paradiso starring Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson (directed by Adrian Edmondson) for Universal, and Maybe Baby starring Hugh Laurie and Joely Richardson (written and directed by Ben Elton) for Pandora. Included in our television productions are Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights (Series 1&2) for Channel 4, Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere for Channel 4, Peter Kay Live at Manchester Arena (also Channel 4) Craig Cash’s and Phil Mealey’s Early Doors (Series 1&2) for BBC2, Victoria Wood With all the Trimmings, Victoria at The Albert and the documentaries Acorn Antiques: The Musical! and Victoria Wood: Moonwalking (all ITV1), The Fast Show Live for BBC2 Ben Elton’s Blessed (BBC1) and most recently Thin Ice (BBC2) a sitcom set in the cut throat world of amateur ice skating. The company has a number of feature films, dramas and documentaries in various stages of development and production.

The foremost promoters of live comedy shows in the UK, PME has worked with most of Britain’s top comedians including Rowan Atkinson, Dave Allen, Billy Connolly, Steve Coogan, Adrian Edmondson, Ben Elton, Lenny Henry, French & Saunders, Peter Kay, Rik Mayall, Graham Norton and Victoria Wood. Recently we have sold out tours for Russell Brand, Patrick Kielty, Paddy McGuinness, The Mighty Boosh and the enormously successful Little Britain written by and starring David Walliams and Matt Lucas.

The Fast Show, Shooting Stars and The League of Gentlemen transferred from television to become highly successful stage shows under our guidance and we promoted the Olympic medalist skaters Torvill & Dean on four world tours including the longest running show at the Wembley Arena.

PME also manages some of the foremost comedic writing and acting talent in the UK.

The company has had five West End hit plays: Gasping, Silly Cow, Slip of the Tongue (starring John Malkovich), Waiting for Godot, Smaller (Directed by Kathy Burke; Starring Dawn French and Alison Moyet) and the Laurence Olivier Award-winning Popcorn.

In May 2002, Phil Mcintyre Entertainment began to produce various hit musicals; ‘We Will Rock You’ opened in London’s West End; a musical collaboration, between Ben Elton, Robert De Niro, PME and the music group Queen. This was followed by a co-production of the Olivier winning show 'Our House'. In 2003 PME, in association with Arnold Stiefel, produced ‘Tonight’s The Night - the Rod Stewart Musical’. In 2005 PME produced ‘Acorn Antiques – The Musical!’ written by Victoria Wood and directed by Trevor Nunn.
