Red and Black Films is run by award winning filmmakers Caradog James and John Giwa-Amu.

Their films have been nominated in festivals around the world including Moscow International Film Festival and the British Independent Film Awards. Their feature film ‘Little White Lies’ received two BAFTA Cymru awards, won Best Film at Cartagena and the Nantes Film Festival. It was also listed in Variety’s top 10 British Films of that year.

They have adapted screenplays from two bestselling novels, ‘The Wishing Game’ by Patrick Redmond and Douglas Coupland’s ‘Miss Wyoming’ as well as writing original screenplays that have secured over a million pounds in production funding. Their short films have screened in Oberhausen, Clermont-Ferrand, won the BBC Best New Filmmaker Award and a BAFTA Cymru Award.

Red and Black Films are currently developing a slate of films with support from private equity, The Film Agency for Wales and the First Feature Film Development Programme at the UK Film Council.
