For over 30 years, Globo TV International has distributed programs to more than 130 countries. Its catalog contains more than 300 teledramaturgy titles. In 2007, over 25 thousand hours of programming were licensed to over 50 countries and translated into 24 different languages, reaching an average audience of 100 million viewers worldwide every day.

GLOBO TV INTERNATIONAL – For TV Globo, frontiers began to dissolve in 1973, when the acclaimed miniseries O Bem-Amado, by Dias Gomes, was exported to Uruguay.

INTERNATIONAL CHANNEL – TV Globo Internacional is the first Brazilian channel broadcast abroad via satellite, cable and IPTV, with digital quality, 24 hours a day, targeting Brazilians and other Portuguese-speaking outside Brazil. Launched in 1999, the channel has 500 thousand premium subscribers around the world, in 114 countries and five continents. Programming includes news shows in real time, live sports events, telenovelas, miniseries, children's programs and variety shows. The channel is broadcast by two satellite signals, the first covering Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with a customized signal for TV Globo Portugal, and the latter covering the Americas and Australasia, with customization for Japan.

GLOBO TV SPORTS – Globo TV Sports is the business unit responsible for the distribution of Brazilian sports events abroad, including soccer championships, stock car racing, futsal, beach volleyball and marathons. Launched in 2006, it is present in 132 territories, reaching millions of soccer fans in all regions of the world. Under the slogan "Brazilian Magic Football", the best championships are aired live, with narration, commentary and statistics in English. The weekly "Footbrazil" show presents special behind the scenes reports, practice sessions and player profiles, and is broadcast via satellite, in English.


Globo Network presently reaches 99.50% of potential viewers, practically the entire Brazilian population, and possesses great segmentation capacity thanks to its network of affiliates. Advertisers of all types, sizes and ambitions find space in our 122 broadcasting stations - 117 of which affiliates - that deliver programming to 98.44% of our municipalities and over 183 million Brazilians.

Globo Network possesses 28 communications groups and 9,600 professionals imprinting Brazilian diversity through dozens of branches and mini-branches. The affiliates can use up to 14 weekly hours to broadcast news and entertainment to their local public, The greatest production is journalistic, with over 62 thousand hours a year (an average of 5,167 hours per month), but there are roughly 90 other local programs of 12 different types (interviews, cooking, educational, rural, health, shows, sports and tourism), which add up to over 3 thousand broadcasting hours. There are 650 reporting crews among these stations, making it the country's largest journalism team, with over 3,000 professionals airing the greatest news of all - Brazil.
A network of such dimensions is capable of servicing all markets and segments. An estimated 40 thousand clients invest in TV though our affiliates every year. Besides programming, local events are seen by the market as special media opportunities for brand association.
