RSJ FILMS is an independent television and film company based in the UK, founded in August 2009 by Jimmy McGovern, Sita Williams and Roxy Spencer.

SeanBeanRSJ Films were commissioned by the BBC to make six one hour episodes of drama for BBC One, "Accused". The first series, transmitted Autumn 2010. Accused picked up two International Emmy Awards for Best Drama and Best Performance by Christopher Eccleston in 2011. In the same year, Accused won an RTS Northwest award for Best Drama Series. Following this success the BBC commissioned a further four hours, which were produced and transmitted in 2011/12. The first episode featured Sean Bean playing Simon, a teacher with a transvestite alter-ego, who becomes entangled in a bitter love triangle.

Before the inception of RSJ Films, the creative collaboration of this team produced the Bafta, RTS and Emmy award winning THE STREET for BBC One. The Street gathered huge critical acclaim and consistently high audiences, delivering popular and thought provoking stories to it's target audience. It attracted Britains finest film, television and stage talent as well as introduce newcomers throughout it’s three series. The Street has scooped British televisions top industry awards for two consecutive years winning both the 2007 and 2008 BAFTA and RTS awards for best drama series.

TheStreetAt the 2007 International Emmy Awards Ceremony Oscar-winner Jim Broadbent shared the best actor award for his role as a pensioner in the first series of The Street, shown in 2006, while the series won for Best Drama. The Street won Best Drama again at the 2010 International Emmy awards, with Bob Hoskins winning Best Performance.
