Brian Harley is an award winning filmmaker and founder of Short Night Films. He is currently working on two new short films called 'A Dream I Had' and 'Private View', to be filmed in early 2013. Brian is also developing his first feature film with producer Rachel Carter called 'This Year's Pact With The Devil', which Carter has been developing under the FilmWorks scheme, (which is supported by the BFI and Creative England). In 2013, Brian will take part in a Mentoring Scheme (which is also supported by the BFI and Creative England) in which he will receive professional development from an established industry figure. His most recent short film 'Eventide' (2012) has been widely acclaimed by audiences around the country and will be broadcast on the Community Channel in February 2013. In 2008, he founded Short Night Films, a film company named after 'The Short Night', the project that would have been Alfred Hitchcock's next movie. With a bachelors degree in fine art, Brian is a considerably versatile writer and director. His work ranges from kinky, twisted comedies to heart-rending dramas. Brian is currently a committee member of the Coventry filmmaking network and production company, Call The Shots and a contributing editor for online arts and culture magazine, Covert.
