Slip of Steel was founded in 2009 by Susanna Hislop who brought together a collaboration of international artists to make its first show Of Women and Horses I Have Known. It was originally developed for the 2010 SPRINT Festival with the support of the Camden People’s Theatre, and enjoyed a critically acclaimed run at the Underbelly, Edinburgh (2010) before returning for a sell-out run at CPT (2011). Slip of Steel is currently developing its second show How Does a Snake Shed its Skin? It has been developed with the support of the National Theatre Studio, Arts Council England and Yard Theatre and had an inital run of performances as part of The Generation Game Festival at Yard Theatre, May 2013.
