Everyman Theatre Cardiff, Cardiff's liveliest and most adventurous theatre company, was founded in 1942. It started life as the Unity Theatre Group, focusing on mainly political theatre, but later broke away and embarked on its own policy of presenting experimental live theatre in as professional and interesting a manner as possible. In the 1970s Everyman was instrumental in the opening of Chapter Arts Centre in Cardiff. This, together with the advent of the Sherman Theatre, brought a new era for Everyman. Here was a professional theatre with all the technical facilities they longed for. For the last year or so, though, they have concentrated our productions within the home base of Chapter Arts Centre.

The Chairman and Vice Chairman are Simon Futty and Peter Harding-Roberts respectively.
