The Manchester School of Theatre at the Manchester Metropolitan University has a long standing international reputation for preparing students for careers as professional actors.
Our graduates have found careers in all of the major theatre, film and TV companies including the BBC, ITV, the Royal National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company as well as all of the major touring and regional repertory companies.

Our BA Acting programme is accredited by Drama UK. This nationally and internationally acclaimed programme also enjoys extremely fruitful links and collaborations with many of the region's key employers including Manchester Royal Exchange Theatre, The Library Theatre, The Contact Theatre, Oldham Coliseum Theatre and Bolton Octagon Theatre.

Former graduates of the School of Theatre include Amanda Burton, Steve Coogan, Richard Griffiths, Bernard Hill, Noreen Kershaw, Adam Kotz, Anthony Sher, John Thomson, David Threlfall and Julie Walters.
