The University of Winchester is located just one hour away from London set in a pleasant wooded setting overlooking the South Downs in Hampshire. The campus is within walking distance of Winchester city centre and the railway station.

In the most recent RAE (Research Assessment Exercise, 2008) 75 per cent of the University?s research submitted was considered internationally recognised, with some research achieving the highest grade possible (4*) and a rating of ?quality that is world-leading in terms of originality, significance and rigour?.

There are 6,400 students studying undergraduate or postgraduate programmes at Winchester. There is a range of subjects available in the arts, performing arts, humanities, education, social sciences, business, and health and social care. The University is one of the largest providers in the UK for training primary school teachers.
