The Uprising Productions was formed in 2010 by a group of Film Production students from The University of Central Lancashire. The company was formed to help gain publicity for the first ever featured film produced by undergraduates, 'Needle in the Hay'.

This production unit has some of the best young talent in the Northwest today, with crew from all over the British Isles & even some from further afield, such as Bulgaria, Russia and Germany.

The Current feature in production has the potential to change the face of both student and independent film making forever.
