Highlights
-
I am a qualified make-up Artist; I have been working in the film, television and Theatre industry for about 2 years now after studying at Christine Blundell's Make-up Academy (CBMA) for 6 months. A very intense and instructive course; run by professionals from the industry. I learnt everything from prosthetics and special FX to facial hair and period looks to Fashion make-up.
Since then I have worked on a number of feature and short films creating many looks including special FX make-up and period hair and make-up. Many of these have been entered into film festivals such as Cannes. I have also been involved with big blockbuster films such as the most recent ‘Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows’ film and ‘Rush’, a film about racing driver’s Niki Lauda and James Hunt. I have also worked on fashion photo shoots, catwalks and advertisement shoots to gain worthwhile experience in all fields.
Before entering the film industry I was trained in Bridal and Fashion make-up. I did this for a year or so, but decided I wanted to go in a new direction and take my career further, and this led me on to doing makeup for film and television.
I am easy going and I love working with people and feel comfortable working in close proximity with others, and I think I make them feel at ease around me, whether it is one to one or in a group. When it comes to my work, I am driven, dedicated and passionate and enjoy the challenges that this type of job can bring.
I am also trained in traditional manicures, pedicures and gel nails and nail art aswell.
