About me
Charlie studied and practiced cinematography at the Arts University Bournemouth, he graduated with fist class honours in cinematography in 2014.He also won the Oswald Morris Award for Cinematography, Kodak Cinematography Award as well as being a finalist at Camera Image Festival for his graduation film Wait For Me, all in the same year.
Charlie’s career started from a young age, enrolling into Media Production at Ealing Institute of Media, while part time working in the industry in the Camera Department.
He was chosen to attend the Bournemouth Screen Academy in 2007, which would introduce him to where he would study at a later date.
At the AUB charlie honed his craft shooting mainly on Super 16 film, his technical skill shined, but his real talent shone in the art of lighting.
When Charlie is not shooting he still works part time in the lighting department Gaffing & Best on everything from Music Promo’s, High End Commercials as well as Tv Dramas and Feature Films.
Charlie main skill is acquiring knowledge and techniques gained from his onset experience and utilises it in shooting his own work.
Currently Charlie is shooting several short dramas, with three production in post production ready for festival release in 2018.
Charlie also leads a yearly Camera & Lighting Workshop for VFX at the AUB.
