About me
Costume Designer and Maker / Wardrobe Supervisor looking for new challenges. I have past experience in wardrobe managment, costume design and making and styling. I'm confident on working at a production and I'm social, with good communication skills, hard working, organized and very motivated.Additional information:
I attended the Lisbon Faculty of Architecture in Fashion Design, in a 5 years BA course. In the final year I presented my final collection at the university and graduated with an Upper Second classification. After that I was invited by the Lisbon Fashion Week Association to present my collection in an exhibition entitled "Workstation" in the 31st Lisbon Fashion Week.
After I got my BA, I started an Internship in the TV production company Plural Entertainment, in the Portuguese TV series "Morangos com Açúcar" as a costume designer intern and after two years I was promoted to costume designer.
I also did an internship in the fashion designers Alves / Goncalves fashion studio.
As a costume designer in Plural Entertainment I also did some publicity and a live broadcast stage costumes. Due to the nature of the series I worked in (musical teenage TV serie) I was able to explore concepts for stage dance and musical performances in which the themes and songs had to be considered, and the costumes should born from the symbiosis between music, show theme and choreography. I explored a lot of concepts brought by the street style, the 80's and electroclash scene, as well as from iconic world figures and costume history.
In the series I was also in charge of choose clothing from several brands and showrooms in the country, being often the bridge between brands and the production company. that gave me a lot of buying and dealing skills as well as sponsoring awareness.
