About me
Past: Having moved from Wales to London in order to study Film, I undertook part-time &occasionally full time employment. Due to this I have been able to flourish in a variety of high
pressure environments ranging from sales, to hospitality and commercial film projects.
Present: I have always been an efficient and driven hard worker- striving to push myself
further. This became apparent whilst working in popular venues within central London and
swiftly began hitting targets at my various workplaces.
While I was employed during my studies, I was able to effectively manage my time so that I
could honour my commitments in the workplace and satisfy the strict deadlines of course
work required in a higher education degree.
During my terms of employment have found myself to be an active motivator to those that I
work with, often utilising my communication skills in order to inspire myself and those around
me to achieve our maximum potential.

Highlights
-
With my practical studies of Film & Television production I undertook a wide range of roles, specialising in the role of a First Assistant Director, in addition to pursuing Runner work in my spare time. The primary responsibilities of both of these jobs are focused on maximizing productivity for the benefit of the overall project, either by applying my problem solving skills or by ensuring that I could offer help where needed. While the tasks I undertook may not have always been significant to the production, I always ensured that the tasks I was assigned were completed promptly and to the best of my ability.
After specialising within as a First AD within Film and Television I've always held a keen and enthusiastic approach towards the projects I work on, as I find that I deal with proposing solutions, rather than simply highlighting potential problems. This is a skill that I continue to apply in the workplace since graduating from University, and what I see as one of my greatest strengths.
University has taught me how to apply my knowledge, common sense and skills learned in the most effective way, and has encouraged me to become more aware of the more intimate details of the film industry and how those skills may be transferred into other areas of employment and within similar creative industries.
My time at University allowed me to experiment within a wide variety of fields, not simply working with actors or co-ordinatig crews. Due to my involvement in a number of project, I have been able to develop a keen understanding of the technical details within camera & sound departments, and allowing me to develop extensive skills within both production & post production.
