    About me

Aged 18, I stood dressed in a Star Trek costume in my physics class, trying to explain the theory of relativity, (badly), to my bemused class mates. At this point in time I realised that perhaps a career in Astro Physics wasn't the right path for me and instead I began to embrace my natural aptitude for creativity...

Debating between a career in Fine Art and one as a “serious actress”, I decided to read BA (Hons) Media & Performance. This opened so many doors, as it not only gave me the foundational skills of storytelling through the medium of film, but also technical skills in editing and camerawork.

Shortly after graduating I began working for the Art Department on various television dramas. Developing a love for graphic design I soon taught myself the Adobe creative suite and soon progressed to role of graphic designer. I have over 6 years’ experience working on dramas in the television industry, including credits with BBC and ITV.

In between television jobs, I would also take on other graphic design work for charities and small businesses as well produce a number of promotional and resource films. As a versatile creative I can take control over the whole process; from developing the material with the client, to filming and directing the piece and then editing and preparing the product for distribution. I also make a conscious effort to give young people opportunity to gain work experience recruiting them a crew for shoots.

A few years ago, I worked for an arts educational charity as their film and media manager; In this role, I project managed media programmes for young people involving organisations such as Adobe and the BFI, and I also delivered media sessions, on filmmaking, and software training on Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Flash/Animate to both educators and students.

If I’m not busy sketching something on the computer, or editing a short film, you’ll find me at the local climbing wall where I enjoy indoor bouldering and the chai lattes!
