About me
Hello. I´m Daniel Calvo, Post Producer, VFX, and Colorist.I have 15+ years experience on post production, on films and commercials. On the last years I’ve been involved in cloud projects in USA, UK, Canada, Portugal, Spain, Holland, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Argentina where I live.
Projects include feature films and short films, commercials, promos, and music videos. Some clients are, EL DESEO, PATAGONIK, 4HUMANS, TRONCO, FLAMBOYANT PARADISE, MU FILMS, PLENTY, 3DAR, COCA COLA, FORD MOTORS, VOLKSWAGEN, TOYOTA, SONOS, JOHNSON & JOHNSON, DANNON, NET, and More.
I own ALDEA, a small but powerful studio. We provide Post Production Services Included but not limited to: VFX, 3D, Grading, and Motion Graphics.

It’s the visual images in the futuristic story of Ivan and Eva that very effectively tell the story. I thought the clever use of point of view, camera angles, color and movement contributed enormously to understanding this story. It has great humor and a wonderful simplicity, and is one of the more purely visual projects submitted. I think the cinematographer deserves high praise for getting so much out of the confines of the limited sets. Yet the film has a perfect balance of claustrophobia and openness. Ivan and Eva is the embodiment of the “law of inverse enclosure” — the idea that someone confined to a small space is in fact inversely enclosing everything that is outside. The acting is very strong and the payoff a pleasant surprise. It’s impossible to think of telling this story without the clever use of altered imagery and a sharp understanding of point of view. It shares some qualities with George Lucas’ fine student film THX1138. A very well realized project, very finely photographed.
