About me
Born, raised and currently living in Cardiff, I have shot a plethora of projects in my time in University of South Wales ranging from short fiction films, documentaries and web based advertisements for local companies. My day to day life consists of me working the barista job I have held since leaving secondary school in 2014 and sharpening my skills further. This currently includes stills photography using film and shooting with rangefinder cameras, something I am finding challenging but rewarding.Apart from being a major film buff, I have a deep fascination with the American Frontier and have read countless books on the subject. This is where my fascination for film began as the films of Sergio Leone were some of the only DVD's available to me as a child. My love for cinematography came from me watching the Coen Brothers film True Grit which led me to discovering my idol and major influence Roger Deakins. Deakins has been the most influential DOP on my personal style as his use of lenses under the 75mm focal length and how it effects his framing is something I have tried to emulate in my personal work.
