●My long term aim is to go into directing comedy features. I’m currently polishing my finished feature-length comedy screenplay and currently consulting with Script Angel on this project until March 2020 in my spare time. Also in my spare time I'm working on hand-drawn story boards and poster ideas for the project.
● I’m writing a comic short film, and a 6 part sit-com to improve my writing, and familiarise myself with different formats, the film I plan to direct and edit myself to learn Adobe Premiere Pro.
● I have several other story lines I’d like to develop, and am always educating myself in the evenings with my ever growing library of story structure, screenplay, character and comedy books, trying to create something completely original and bold, with a particular interest in character driven comedy, witty dialogue and strong female quirky original characters.
I have an extensive knowledge of films and directors, especially art house, independent and French cinema as I speak French fluently, and increasingly more about the industry in general, and how small and large production companies especially the British work. Favourite directors include: Francois Ozon, Wes Anderson, Peter Strickland, David Lynch and Jean-Pierre Jeunet. I love Agnes Jaoui and Jean-Pierre Bacri’s screenplays for realism and Billy Wilder for rapid-fire dialogue too, among many others. I’m just as fascinated with the intricacies of dialogue and emotional beats as I am with the visuals, and designing the way the film is going to be shot and other technical aspects such as lighting and blocking. I have a huge range of interests across the arts, from painting and other fine arts to music, classical, my favourite being film.
To describe myself; I am warm and friendly, confident and out going, diligent with a keen eye for detail, diplomatic, great with people and love working in a team as well as happy to work independently. I have ideaophoria, and am always overflowing with ideas, solutions or out of the box thinking. I particularly enjoy problem solving, coming up with solutions in a swift and calm manner, and making sure the overall project at hand is running smoothly. I am also quite the geek, and have an insane eye for detail and could be described as a perfectionist. I’m able to see the details and overall needs of a project at the same time.
I have excellent administration skills as I used to temp for several agencies in London and Sheffield when I was a student, and was relied on to quickly blend into new work environments and get up to speed on tasks demanded of me. Up to the present day, where I ran my e-commerce website which I co-built with my web developer, and used many Adobe applications like Photoshop or Pageplus on a daily basis to aid my social media and digital marketing campaigns, for which I designed and managed all graphic design content across several platforms. I worked with several talented photographers and also did some of my own photography, editing and styling for various product shoots with my digital SLR. Any applications or software I’m not already familiar with I’m sure I’d pick up very quickly due to my experience working with others like Photoshop and being so used to visual forms of communication.
I’m very used to handling multiple tasks at the same time, I likened running my business to organising a wedding, especially at busy Christmas season, so am well versed and thrive working under stressful conditions. I also had two employees to manage too, so have experience in how to keep a team operating at their best.
I am very keen to get any experience I can in the film industry, be it Art Direction to Casting, with a particular interest ito learn as much as I can about the technical aspects of film production such as cameras and lighting, etc. I'm a highly self-motivated quick learner!
I fully realise you will have applicants with more industry experience, although it might seem like a Goran Ivenisevic wildcard at first glance, please give someone newer to it a chance, it may very well be the perfect casting for the role!
I can also be available evenings and weekends should the job require it, have my own car and am happy to travel anywhere nationally or internationally at short notice wherever I would be needed. I have my own iPad, Macbook and new iPhone, so can represent myself and the company I hope to work for professionally.

I don't have any more recent than the below as Ive been CEO of my own company pretty much since finishing University in 2007. There are many other professionals I know who can vouch for me.

She wrote me a glowing letter of kind words after my months placement.
