Since i was a very young boy, its been a long time dream of mine to work in the TV and film industry as its a medium that i am very passionate about. Working with Sarah Burton the director of Alexander Macqueen in their high end studios was one of the greatest experiences of my life, and i met some of the most talented fashionistas in the world. The job role was to photograph all models in as many different attires as possible throughout the stages of their design - so that the art directors could get a feel of what the overall look for their collection would be. Each shoot in London and Paris was around 10-12 sleepless days of none stop hard work, which was ultimately very rewarding when you see the final results at the show. I had to work hand in hand with the development and production teams constantly to keep track of which models to shoot and also the right garments for each. Everything had to be perfect, or the design flow would break down - so attention to detail was crucial at all times. It was also important to maintain a good attitude and work ethic with everyone i collaborated with to ensure that everything is completed to the highest of our abilities. I found that its essential to stay alert, and keep a positive and open minded mentality throughout the production as this positivity passes to other people which ultimately helps everyone work more efficiently. I have applied for the production office as i am more of a hands on type of creator that doesn't mind getting his hands dirty if needed - and i appreciate that its wise to start off at entry level and learn everything form the bottom up before diving in at the deep end. To work as a show runner or within the production team would be an honor and a privilege, as this type of environment is where i really shine as i love working to deadlines under pressure. This scheme would help me get a basic understanding of how the movie/tv production companies work from the grass roots, which is what i really want to learn about and progress within.
I'm soulfully here to learn and meet like minded and aspiring people that aim to create something incredible within the Movie/TV industry. The moving image has been a format that I've been experimenting with my whole life, so i aim to broaden my horizons on every level possible in order to learn as much as i can to help and assist in the creation of film/television. Its more so the education factor that i am most interested in, as i really am excited to learn as much as i can about this industry and its collaborators. I have been writing short stories myself based on ideas from TV series like Black Mirror and movies like Inception and Interstellar.
Having worked in high end studios in London and Paris with director Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen, i fully understand the seriousness and the level of dedication required to make a production run smoothly. I can bring many transferable skills from this role including photography, planning, production assistance, production set up, Editing, printing and an effective collaborative teamwork ethic.
