About me
I am a creative, team-oriented, and extremely driven young woman bursting with enthusiasm. I am a fast learner and a go getter with an extremely passionate attitude along with a great work ethic. I have exceptional organisation skills and work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.Throughout my university course in costume design and making I developed my sewing skills to an advanced level and my confidence in my work and ideas increased with that. I have always had a passion for costume, I always was in awe of the costumes in films, plays, musicals and on the TV. I am an extremely hardworking individual who can work fantastically independently and as part of a team.
I have a good bubbly personality, excellent people skills and a great sense of humour which combined with my passion and great work ethic will make me a valued member of your team. I am available immediately and can be very flexible with working hours, departments and locations. I want to use this opportunity at Angels to learn from all the talented and experienced professionals around me and learn and grown in such a renowned environment.
I have interned at the Royal Opera House in the Womens Workroom working on two productions including Gloriana and Don Giovanni. I helped to construct costumes with the team and assisted the costume supervisor on sourcing fabrics and trims. I assisted in anywhere that was asked from fittings to watching dress rehearsals to organising the storerooms.
I have worked in the costume department on set at Shepperton Studios for the filming on 47 Ronin. I was able to move around between the crowds wardrobe assisting with dressing, laundry and maintenance, alterations restoring and touching up costumes after shoots, the armory helping to maintain the pristine look of the armor for all the shoots, in the breaking down department creating burned civilians and props by creatively burning clothing, props and sets.
Alongside this I have worked as a Buying Intern, Fashion Production Intern and Allocator for fashion companies including River Island, Avenue32 and Penmayne of London. In these roles I had to use excellent organisation, communication and a lot of hard work to manage a constantly increasing workload and to meet deadlines. I assisted all team members when ever they required it and went above and beyond in each role to learn and support the team to the best of my ability.
