    About me

I have recently graduated from The Northern Film School as part of Leeds Beckett University in Leeds. I have always wanted to work in the arts field. This stemmed from my love for film but soon outreached to television and before long all matters of art, including photography, stage and dance. Being a recent graduate my passion to work within the media field is at its peak, and I will perform all tasks I may be given to the highest quality. I am willing to always learn and looking for a position in the profession I have always wanted to enter, and I believe this role is perfect for what I am looking for, being based in the city I am familiar with along with the perfect job, and a role I believe best utilises what I have learned on my course of Filmmaking.

I enjoyed four years of experience as a member of the conference and banqueting team at Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa. I would set the function rooms in accordance with the event, this will be from arranging the tables and chairs, to setting service cutlery, dance floors etc, all followed by clearing the entire rooms down at the end of the said function and making sure the hotel was kept clean and ready for next mornings use. This job made me realise the importance of timekeeping and having functions and tasks completed for certain times of the day or later dates.

I also worked at The Northern Ballet Academy based in Leeds along with my studies. This position got me into the arts industry I had always wanted to work in, I was able to see what was required when live art productions were performed to a wide audience, while working more closely with the Academy’s pupils I witnessed the preparations and etiquette that was needed when showing such live arts events, I would also briefly see the behind the scenes productions for said shows, further fuelling my knowledge and passion to work in this industry. For this role, I was also fully DBS checked.

As part of my degree, I also worked in multiple roles on different short film sets as well as teachings on live studio floor environments. I worked as Third and Second Directors, seeing how camera productions are made and how all roles are performed. But my main enjoyment was in editing, I edited a short film and documentary short for my degree, learning all that is needed for this department, from working with multiple editing software, to carrying rushes, timecode, transcripts and exporting footage. I worked voluntary at Frame Film and Dance Festival in 2016, an experience that helped me greatly understand the process that goes in on organising a live art event and the how the team works together so the event is pulled off successfully, I also took reportage photography of Awards Ceremony and it’s after-party, filming and editing footage of an arranged flash mob orchestrated by Frame Festival, and editing and publishing multiple images of the events on the festival's social media platforms.
