My name is Philip Reinking and I am a professional freelance editor and filmmaker based in London with a passion for storytelling and creating high-quality visuals.
My editing background includes assembling raw footage, selecting usable sequences, motion graphics, compositing, stabilising and masking to produce exceptional final products for short films, music videos, promotional content, corporate videos and TV spots.
I generally have an interest in advertising which I further pursued in Los Angeles during an internship at “Toybox Entertainment” where I edited TV spots for the movie “7 Days in Entebbe” (Focus Features) working from client briefs with a lot of creative freedom. Furthermore, I have done corporate work for organisations such as “The Endeavour Fund” (The Royal Foundation) and other charities and businesses.
Several films that I have worked on have been screened at the British Film Institute and were in the selection of festivals in different countries. (e.g. London Independent Film Festival, MUSE Fest Paris, Women in Horror UK). I have also been editing concert videos and interviews for “EQ Music” featuring artists like FrankMusik, Sound of Arrows and Jennifer Paige.
Additional Information
I have been frequently collaborating with independent singer-songwriter Calista Kazuko as her main creative collaborator for EP/single artwork, music videos and social media content, to create an individual style that reflects both, her and her music. Overseeing an artists image from start to finish was a great experience and required me to plan multiple productions ahead to create a coherent visual direction for the project.
