An award winning writer/director and CEO of Talking Lens Productions Ltd and its subsidiary Eyeline Productions, based in Leeds. Raza graduated with the Diploma in TV Production from London and the NFTS. After various roles at Channel 4, the BBC and Central TV in the south, Raza returned to his northern roots and at Hibiscus, Premiere he wrote, produced and directed numerous programmes and films for ITV and BBC TV. His films: Easy Money, Dogs Best Friend and Checkmate have received international awards, including the Jury Grand Prize, Amiens, Bronze Dragon, Cracow and Prix De la Salamander, France. Channel 4 screened his youth drama "Chakkar" to much acclaim. Raza, continued his prolific writing with the 6 episode drama, "Sparks" for Yorkshire TV and a 12 episode animation series, Knots In The Wood, produced by Cosgrove Hall.
Over the years, Raza has produced and worked on numerous independent films: "Wishbone" featuring Rik Mayall and "Drumming Monkey" with Richard Wilson, script development work with Lenny Henry; the period drama: Gift From The Sea filmed on location in Hull and several critically acclaimed theatre productions for the West Yorkshire Playhouse.
After directing several series of TV magazine programmes for Cable and SKY, Raza wrote & directed the much acclaimed comedy film "Guns Thums & Movie Massala".
Raza is actively involved in media education and has taught at many institutions including Leeds Met University and overseas for The British Council. He wrote and directed over 30 films for ESP. as well as many innovative music videos including "Faster Faster Kill". He concentrates on developing and producing quality drama shorts and feature films.
Raza wrote and directed the 12 part series "JJ On A Mission" for Sky 803 and recently completed the black comedies "Licked" and "Returns", in addition to the noir film "Holding on to Nothing". He is currently in pre-production with the feature film "Kickback".
