About me
About 4-5 years ago is the first time I realised I want to be part of the edit. In college I am currently studying and leaving very soon. I have been thinking about potentially going to University and doing a course on editing , but I thought what is the point of me going to University to do something I already know a lot about. Since the age of 11 I have done random editing but for the past few years I have managed to set my eyes on becoming an editor and have been expanding my knowledge and I still am not at a point where I can say I am a complete editor. I have done a few things during my second year of Media Production. I went onto BT Sports for a 8 week course making tv for the first time. This was my first proper time in an edit where I edited a 2/3 hour VT into around 7 minutes. This has to have been one of my favourite edits as I was in control and I felt like I knew what looked nice and what didn't. This helped me gain a lot of knowledge on the edit and also gave me a lot more confidence in being an editor. One other major project I did for BT Sports was called "It's A Numbers Game", which was a complete TV show. I had the opportunity to be a runner/researcher/camera op. During these 2-3 months I gained interest in cameras. By the end of the show I had bought my own gear such as a Gimbal and tripod as well as a camera.Skills
