  About me

  As Producer / Director at Property TV, Sky Channel 198, I handle multiple projects, turning over at least one programme a week. I manage a team including editors, graphic designers, researchers and camera operators. The styles of programmes range from documentaries, to corporate videos, to event coverage.

  Prior to this I ran an online TV channel, with weekly live TV shows, directing a crew of up to 50.

  I also have extensive experience in the camera and lighting department, having worked for the BBC (Holby City and Eastenders) and Sky (Enfield Haunting).

  “NaSTAvision was a live event for NaSTA, which was as Eurovision style music content. This event was organised by Sophie Piedallu with her team from StaffsTV. The broadcast was probably the most technically complex in the history of NaSTA. Not only did the team have to contend with linking to stations across the country for their live performances, but also had to combat unforeseen technical difficulties from the other station and take sole responsibility for the entire second half of the broadcast. From the start, Sophie showed a passion and enthusiasm for broadcast and became a real driving force in ensuring the event ran smoothly.

  It was clear that the managing team (Matt and Sophie) knew how best to work together, with Sophie taking the lead on aesthetic and content-related elements and Matt spearheading the technical side of the broadcast. Together, they are an absolute tour de force and have the wonderful ability to foresee potential issues that others miss and combat them before they even arise. They have a clear understanding of their skills and balance each other perfectly.
