About me
I am an Assistant Art Director/Art Director working in the Art Department on Film and Television productions.I have worked on classic TV shows such as BBC's Call the Midwife and Death in Paradise, and ITV's Endeavour. Most recent credits include the folk horror film Lord of Misrule and TV dramas Best Interests for BBC and Amazon Prime's Fifteen-Love.
My passion for set design came whilst doing Fine Art at college, where I was introduced to the world of Theatre Design. Having a strong fascination in architecture and film, this widen my imagination and career towards set design for film and TV.
After graduating from NFTS - The National Film & Television School in Production Design my first job opportunity was on the much-acclaimed drama Downton Abbey. Since then I have worked hard on a variety shows and productions, working in the Art Department as a Graphic Designer, Draughtsman, Assistant Art Director and most recently as Art Director.
As an Art Director I have experience to oversee construction on studio builds, and have worked on locations up and down the UK. Managed budgets and script breakdowns, location surveys and intentions.
Construction drawings are done with SketchUp and Layout as my primary drawing software.
From Art Director, I would love to further my experience as a Production Designer, working and collaborating on short films, documentaries and/or low budget features. This passion to develop, and drive to create visually interesting spaces and sensitivity to the script and storytelling,
I believe I have become a good all rounder for any art department, with a keen eye for detail, passionate, calm and creative.
On my downtime I enjoy visiting museums and galleries, historical homes and gardens. Escaping to the great outdoors with walks, cycling and swimming.
