About me
I am Thomas Shawcroft a graduate of the Arts University College Bournemouth, having studied BA(hons) Film Production under the guidance of Witold Stok BSC and Digby Elliott. I have specialised in Cinematography for 4 years and am currently based along the South and Central parts of England, UK. Upon graduation from the Arts University I have taken on roles in various different aspects of cinematography, including live broadcasting at the Weymouth Olympics 2012 as a Camera Assistant.
I have written and shot a feature film, "Weaverfish", which won the People's Choice Award at the 2012 Toronto Bootleg Film Festival and been involved in shooting many short films and commercials for companies such as "Spitfire Ale" and "Roman's International".
I have extensive knowledge in a wide range of cameras and am quick to learn and adapt to different camera systems, as well as each Director of Photography's different ways of working. I have Arri Media training in Loading, Panavision training in 3D rigs and certificates in diving alongside experience with underwater housing.
In the future I plan on expanding my experiences in all formats and platforms, working with different teams, budgets and environments.
I believe that can bring a camera crew together, as well as creating a good end product.
