About me
Hi, my name is Will Amor, I studied Live and Studio Sound at Solent University and recently recorded, mixed and mastered the audio for a short film that has now been shorlisted at Cannes Court Metrages.I'm a massive film fan and I love doing Sound Design, Sci-Fi stuff is the most interesting material to work with although I'm just a bit of a geek when it comes to playing around on editing software, love to experiment and lose hours playing around with sounds. I'm in the process of creating my own online portfolio of all the side projects I've done, mainly things that I've re-designed the sound for (personal projects not commissioned by the original creators).
I'm currently the sound recordist for a low budget TV series on occasional weekends using my own equipment; zoom H6, shotgun mic, boom pole, shockmount and some lavalier/lapel mics.
Absolutely love working on set and in the studio amongst a great crew of fun, hard-working professionals

Highlights
-
Sound Recordist/Boom Operator/Sound Editor/Mixer/Designer for short film "Ostend" (extract uploaded to Vimeo - https://vimeo.com/119182871 - The password is "Casual01". Please note that this has been mixed and mastered to playback on cinema speakers so it won't sound as good playing back on in-built laptop speakers, for a 'truer' sound use external speakers or headphones plugged into an external sound card)
Ostend has now been shortlisted at Cannes Court Metrages - http://sub.festival-cannes.fr/SfcCatalogue/MovieDetail/d5c7016c-75fc-408f-a9dd-e174ceca066b
Sound Recordist/Boom Operator for mockumentary "Pests", this is ongoing on occasional weekends.
