Trained at Bird College graduating with a degree in Dance and Theatre Performance I've since worked professionally in the commercial and contemporary sector in contexts ranging from musical theatre to film, contemporary dance to casino and cruise ship productions.
Alongside performance work I've built a portfolio of teaching practice, delivering workshops internationally and developing a new program of work for the British Council School, Madrid in 2008.
Between 2009-2012 I worked for Ludus Dance creating and delivering new dance initiatives in Lancashire whilst also developing a keen interest in dance and disability, large-scale choreography and collaborative cross-arts practice.
I studied on the Dalcroze Certificate course at The Royal Northern College of Music between 2011-2012 and have also worked on international exchange programmes over the last 3 years. In 2011 I was awarded a scholarship from Barcelona International Dance Exchange to create a new performance work with two other international artists.
In 2012 I co-established ‘La Petite Mort’, a North West based company that creates new and evocative dance theatre.
Amongst strands of work as an independent artist I work closely with Lisa Simpson Inclusive Dance and as Regional Associate Artist for the English National Ballet delivering their Dance for Parkinson's programme in Liverpool.
My choreographic work has been programmed regionally at the Dukes Theatre, The Lowry, Oldham Colleseum and The Brewery. I've also worked as choreographer on the national tour of 'Stones In His Pockets' in partnership with Chipping Norton Theatre and The Dukes, and the summer production of 'As You Like It' with Grosvenor Open Air Theatre and StoryHouse Productions.
