About me
Originating from Newcastle Australia Jacqueline has been dancing all her life.Whilst growing up Jacqueline trained with The Australian Ballet Junior School and The Marie Walton Mahon Dance Academy. Her teachers included Tessa Maunder, Marie Walton-Mahon, Robyn Turner, Debbie Ellis-Linnert and Karen Hudson.
Jacqueline has been the winner of various awards including The Society Of Dance Arts Scholarship, The Wenkart Foundation Classical Ballet Championship and City of Newcastle Senior Ballet Scholarship. She was also bestowed with 'Most Promising Dancer' Award at City of Sydney Performing Arts Challenge and received bronze medals in the prestigious Isobel Anderson Awards and Robert and Elizabeth Scholarship.
Jacqueline made her first professional debut as a dancer with The Australian Ballet Company. She performed the role of the Bareness's Daughter in Graeme Murphy's production of Swan Lake at The Sydney Opera House. Three years later she was employed again to play the role of 'the young girl' in The Australian Ballet's production of La Sylphide under the direction of David McAllister.
At the age of 16 Lynn Wallis - Royal Academy Of Dance, Artistic Director, awarded Jacqueline with Distinction in the RAD Advanced 2 Examination with a mark of 97%. Upon receiving this achievement Jacqueline was offered a full scholarship to The National College of Dance where she received a Diploma in Dance Performance and placed first for Classical Choreography.
