A coming of age story that follows 18-year-old Sophie's journey to become a writer. As Sophie discovers her muse, 19-year-old rebel Evie, she finds herself caught in the middle of a conflict between her LGBT beliefs and the church.

Sophie, an innocent and naive Christian girl, dreams of becoming a writer. The only problem is, she can't think of anything to write about. That is, until a dynamic and emotionally unstable Evie moves into Lineham, her sleepy Sussex village by the sea. The two girls strike up an unusual friendship which quickly becomes all consuming. Sophie's mother and her Vicar try to break up the girl's relationship, which shakes the foundations of the local community, creating life-changing repercussions for them all. As Sophie's dream of becoming a writer begin to materialise, she is forced to make a difficult choice between her girlfriend, family and her faith.
