A Doctor Calls is a period, slasher, short about betrayal, murder and revenge.
Anton Dartford is the (not so) loving husband of Lady Dartford. Much like the rest of Edensburg, he was raised quite poor, working as a miner with the rest of the village boys for most of his life, until he met Lady Dartford. He quickly managed to seduce her and marry his way into the family. He planned to live a peaceful, quiet life with his goal accomplished but finds himself falling in love with the family's maid.
