Throughout her education and creative career Lucie has worked in both dance and visual art, exploring, discovering and capturing movement in different forms and mediums. She is curious about looking at dance from different perspectives and considering its impact on other art forms and the everyday. What I love about dance is that it’s an “in the moment” art form, the energy and experience you get from watching live dance is something spectacular and very unique. My aim as a filmmaker is to explore this relationship between screen and dance, and experiment with different ways of recording movement so as to capture that wonderful essence of watching something “in the moment”. – Lucie Sheppard She has experience in filming live performances, talks, events and conferences, festivals, documentaries, promotional videos and showreels for artists and companies. She has also collaborated with dance artists to create dance for camera works, and is always keen to be involved with creative dance film projects.
