Yellow Cage is the first independent film made by the brazilian artistic duo PEDRO MENDES and AMANDA GATTI. The short is an experimental work that blurs the lines between film and video art, exploring a dream-like aesthetic filled with symbolic imagery and fragmented editing, as well as an organic and atmospheric soundscape. Dedicated to all women who lived in shades of yellow, the film brings to light the opression that revolves around women's life from birth to death, and asks: is it possible to break free?
