An american journalist

2009, 25 minutes

Journalist returns from Iraq to cover execution of former child actor celebrity.

"There was a time when I believed wholeheartedly my job as a journalist was to get at the truth," are the words spoken by Pulitzer Prize winning Journalist Jack Calvo. A journalist who earned his stripes in Bosnia a decade earlier, Calvo and his colleague Bruce Howard are abducted in Iraq. Calvo is released but not before Howard is killed. Calvo returns to the US with the stain of his colleague's blood on his hands. After a period of remorse, Calvo returns to his job as journalist. His first assignment is to cover the bizarre media circus surrounding a former child actor turned convicted murderer, Billy Spade.
