Visual thriller set in the mind of a girl whose lover turns on her.
"ASHES": A short film about love, sex, fear and confusion, but above all it is about the places in our mind that we delve into to hide from the real world. It's a short piece with heavy visuals but real drama and emotion at its heart. The story is about Sarah - a young woman in love - and the different ways that she perceives the world; the first plain of reality is the overly perfect, 'Hollywood' vision of her life when she's happy; next is the twisted toy box-style vision of her life that represents her encroaching doubts; this is followed by the terrifying, darkly fetish vision of the terror she feels when her lover turns on her; finally there is the harsh reality of the situation, which Sarah eventually has to face.
