Early 70's Police Drama
This tale of conflict and humour set in a filthy, testosterone filled bait room in a Geordie police station. Health and safety? Political correctness? Forget it, this is the late 60's and early 70's when cops roamed the streets and endeavoured to protect the public. No radio's, pepper sprays or stab proof vests,just one man, and occasional woman against the underworld. A microcosm of social attitudes then. A safe haven, where bait was consumed in the dead of night and the mask of respectability dropped, conflict could grow, but always underpinned by a rich vein of black humour, cementing them as a team.
