The renaissance of a struggling actor is threatened by his treacherous agent and a scheming journalist.

Acting superstar Barry Butler is attending a huge annual awards ceremony. Piper Murray is a journalist fresh out of university and is desperate to get her foot into the industry door. During the award ceremony after-party, she catches him coming out of the bathroom, converses with him, and gets him to tipsily discuss his views on charities. The next day, as Barry discovers his local shop has stopped selling 'Barry's Bodywash', he finds out that Piper has spun his quotes about charities into a negative hit piece. Barry is determined to clear his name, but his search for redemption uncovers a snake in the grass.
