Written by William Ivory, Bert & Dickie is the story of two rowers from different backgrounds who win gold at the 1948 London Olympics. This 90 minute film for BBc One will be shown next year in the run up to the 2012 Olympic games, and stars Matt Smith as Bert & Sam Hoare as Dickie. Other cast members include:- Geoffrey Palmer ; Ron Cook ; Adrian Lukis ; James Frain ; John Bird ; Anastasia Hille and Douglas Hodge. Directed by David Blair, the Producer for the BBC is Chrissy Skins. Don Cotter is playing the featured role of FRANK. Filming wraps on Friday August 26th.
