Detective Bruce Dodd is given an ultimatum by the gangster he arrests.
The film concerns Detective Bruce Dodd, who after arresting criminal kingpin William Jericho, is given an ultimatum by the gangster: Either Bruce helps Jericho get released within 24 hours, or him and his only son will perish. After receiving threats from Jericho despite him being locked up, Bruce realises that his new enemy has far more power and control than he could possibly imagine, and must come to a decision to save his son before time is up.
