Blame it on Blackpool

2012, 26 minutes

A documentary following David Hoyle

Comedian and performance artist David Hoyle hasn’t had an easy life, but when he fell in love with someone who didn’t love him back, he sank into a deep depression. On a fateful night out in Manchester, after downing a bottle of vodka, things spiralled out of control, ending up in his arrest. He now faces a trial which could see him go to prison for two years. Between appearances in court and on stage, David visits his home town of Blackpool to see his mum and attempt to reconcile himself with his past, deal with the present and face his future.
