Tina turns 16, her family wants her to tow the line at the chicken factory, she dreams of working on a cruise ship.
Set in the rural countryside of Flint, North Wales, Blue Collars and Buttercups is a short film about 16 year Tina. She turns 16 today and dreams of being an entertainer on a glamorous cruise ship. Her family all work at the local chicken packing factory and now she has come of age present her with her very own blue overalls so she too can earn a crust. We see Tina spend her day with her head in the clouds, literally,as she walks everywhere on brightly coloured stilts. Discontent with her deal, we see her dreams and hopes of a more magical life.
