Rosie Curran is a young Irish woman who has spent her whole life trying her best to accommodate and adhere to the often harsh societal rules of 1940s Ireland. Despite this, Rosie faces an unthinkable situation and must gather every scrap of strength and defiance in herself to get a task done, for the sake of her child.
