The Burmese Refugee is a Senior Thesis film that details the endeavors of a struggling refugee in his move to America. Through our film, we hope to create awareness of the situation in Burma.
San Aung, a refugee from Burma, adjusts to life in America after spending years in a refugee camp in Southeast Asia. Despite a bleak and traumatic past, San Aung struggles to define his place in the chaotic western world, and dreams of the day when he and his family can truly call this free country home.
